Third-Party Software

The analysis engine that runs in your browser is Stockfish, free software by its authors (official-stockfish/Stockfish) released under the GNU GPL v3 licence. CHESS STALKER serves it unmodified in two browser builds: the one by Lichess (lichess-org/stockfish-web, AGPL v3) and the one by nmrugg (nmrugg/stockfish.js, GPL v3). The licence text accompanies the engine files at /stockfish/sf19-LICENSE.txt and the source code is available in the linked repositories. Stockfish runs as a separate program that communicates with the Website through the UCI protocol; the rest of the Website is not subject to those licences.
